Martin Liersch started Gold Level Contracting after years of working in construction and seeing, first-hand, why the industry had earned a frustrating reputation with homeowners: incomplete projects, inaccurate quoting, missed timelines, and a lack of clear communication.
He wanted to do things differently.
With 8+ years of experience, Martin built Gold Level around a team of kind, thoughtful, and driven people who share his belief that renovations should feel organized, respectful, and well cared for from start to finish.
As President and Principal Contractor, Martin leads with Gold Level’s core values at the centre of every project. Gold Standard Craftsmanship means doing things the right way, from planning through to the final details. Proactive Reliability means showing up prepared, communicating clearly, and staying ahead of issues before they become problems. Our Process

We begin with a phone conversation to learn more about your home, your renovation goals, your preferred timeline, and the scope of work you have in mind. This helps us determine whether Gold Level Contracting is the right fit for your project and prepares us for a productive on-site meeting.

Next, we meet with you in your home to discuss the project in greater detail, review the existing space, and identify any important considerations. From there, we prepare a personalized quote that clearly outlines the anticipated scope and cost of your renovation.

Once your project is approved, we take care of the required permits and help you prepare for construction. You will receive a comprehensive selections document, trusted partner recommendations, and a helpful checklist for choosing items such as flooring, paint, tile, cabinetry, and fixtures.
Finalizing these decisions early helps prevent delays and removes the pressure of making rushed choices during construction.

Before construction begins, we carefully prepare and protect your home with floor coverings, dust barriers, and other site-protection measures. Our team then coordinates the demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical work, and finishing stages while keeping you informed throughout the project.
After demolition, we complete a walkthrough with you while the walls are still open. This gives us an opportunity to confirm important details, including electrical outlets, lighting, plumbing, and other elements that affect how the finished space will function.

When construction is complete, we walk through the finished space with you and address any final details. Your renovation is supported by our two-year warranty, along with a twelve-month follow-up to ensure your new space continues to meet your expectations.
